Senior Manager Treasury, Global Capital Markets
Position Description:
Located at the Global HQ in Akron, OH the Senior Manager Treasury, Global Capital Markets is responsible for leading and supporting global financing activities along with bank and rating agency relations. This position will review/analyze business unit operating plans, business trends and other sources of financial information to recommend appropriate third-party capital market actions to achieve optimal global capital structure while meeting business funding needs.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Primary support for the Treasurer to ensure adequate capital and liquidity are available to meet business needs, by development/implementation of global financing activities/strategies. This includes working closely with the global Treasury leadership to determine funding needs and ensure optimal capital structure.
- Recommend, make decisions, and execute on multi-billion dollar global capital market portfolio. Partner with Assistant Treasurer Global Operations to ensure proper global liquidity.
- Ensure global capital market transactions are executed efficiently with optimized terms and conditions. Support capital market compliance process to ensure funding activities are in compliance with global debt agreement covenants.
- Develop and foster relationships with global financial institution partners while making recommendations/ decisions on banking partner selection for key financing projects.
- Manage relationships with global rating agencies conducting ongoing business reviews and ensuring our credit partners have sufficient business information to make timely and accurate assessments of company credit profile.
- Support key international capital markets transactions (such as securitizations and credit facilities) for important global projects (i.e., plant expansions, acquisitions, etc.).
- Lead/ negotiate global supply chain financing, factoring programs, and other working capital initiative agreements to support the business.
- Support the CFO and Treasurer by preparing regular reviews for the Board of Directors’ Finance Committee.
- Forecast and deliver global annual interest expense/finance expense budget,\ and oversee Treasury review of all leasing decisions
Key Experience and Education:
- Bachelors’ degree in accounting or finance; Masters’ degree, CFA or CPA preferred.
- 10 or more years of experience in progressive Finance and Treasury assignments.
- Experience in executing/leading multifunctional projects - While working in a non-routine/dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated success in leading team projects and capability to interact with all organizational levels (from entry-level to the Senior Leadership team)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Understanding of debt and equity capital markets (including financing agreements and loan terms/covenants).
- Strong understanding of business process issues related to and drivers of business line performance and the implications of these for corporate funding and liquidity management.
- Excellent communication/presentation skills (including ability to manage multiple tasks under strict deadlines).
- Ability to work under pressure - Adjust to changing priorities and have a high-level of accuracy and attention to detail
