About the Position
This entry-level role position seeks solutions to technical problems, conducts work on assigned tasks, while learning and applying Goodyear systems and processes in cooperation with more experienced engineers. The role is essential for ensuring the creation of high-quality tire products that align with Goodyear’s standards and customer expectations.
Location: Americana Plant, São Paulo, Brazil
Primary Responsibilities
- Learn to develop products, processes, and methods that meet internal and external customer requirements.
- Support the evaluation of products, processes, and methods to obtain results.
- Contribute to the manufacture of quality products and processes.
- Communicate and solve problems by interpreting and analyzing data.
- Translate product needs into experimental data or design parameters.
- Work with teams and product groups to bring technology to market.
- Obtain required training and skill development for position-specific skills and personal development.
Required Education and Experience
- Mechanical Engineering degree (or relevant field), required.
- 0-4 years of experience leading or participating in technical projects and teams in university or industry.
- Understanding of the Goodyear Product Creation Process (PCP) is preferred.
- Microsoft Office proficiency (Power Point, Excel), required.
- Fluent in English, required; Portuguese and Spanish preferred.
Skills and Abilities
- Basic understanding of science and technology to be applied to the design & analysis of tires.
- Understanding of technical drawings and procedures.
- Basic comprehension of statistical design and analysis; cause and effect analysis and risk analysis.
- Ability to carry out assignments in a logical fashion using existing technology and standard methods.
- Basic organization, communication, and experimentation skills.
