The opportunity

 

We are currently looking for a compounder to join our team in Luxembourg. On this position you will:

 

• Driving plant activities in improving process capability and associated "high yield process" (no defect passed forward) approach in the Mixing & Preparation Area.
• Implement & industrialize new products and processes; and respond to quality and technical problems and issues
• Focus on Material design and process optimization programs, new and second source raw material implementations.
• Provide technical expertise and functional experience to ensure product quality, quality systems integrity, process capability, waste improvement, and other areas of continuous improvement aligned with the targets and goals of the team.
• Work in a team environment with People Leader, Process Specialist and Reliability Specialist to deliver team KPIs.
• Liaise with the QTECH*E- and Regional Purchasing team in case of any material shortages or quality constraints.

 

To join our team you will need:

 

Education:

Master degree in mechanical engineering, in chemistry, chemical engineering or polymer/material science or equivalent.

 

Languages:

• Excellent level of English and French (spoken and written).
• A good level of Luxembourgish or German are assets.
• Portuguese is a plus.


Experience:

• 3+ years of manufacturing experience in plant quality & technology
• 2 to 3 years of Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Experience in a Union environment
• Experience in a Continuous Improvement / Zero Loss Concept / Plant Optimization / Lean environment


Skills & Qualifications:

          • Working individually as well as in a team within multicultural environment

 Excellent Problem solving and analytical skills
•  Persistent, Self-motivated, agile, mentality, team oriented
•  Excellent communication skills at all levels.
• Be willing to work on weekends (stand-by operation) at least once/month
• Excellent computer skills in MS office (Excel VBA). Any other programming Language is a plus.
• Lean and Six Sigma knowledges.
• Basic knowledge in statistical analysis tools (Minitab)
