QEHS Engineer

The opportunity

We are looking for QEHS Engineer to join our GMS plant. Within that team you will be responsible for executing and coordinating quality & safety activities, in particular:

 

  • Operational quality management, monitoring of quality results (waste, process deviations)
  • Investigation on QEHS issue with root cause analysis, corrective actions and continuous improvement projects. incl initiation and monitoring of remedial actions
  • Collaborate with Quality & EHS team to carry out internal, process and product audits in accordance with schedules Track, trend and report result
  • As quality & safety assurance representant, coordinate decisions to be made with plant team.
  • Analyze the process deviations to improve the effectiveness, quality and productivity of the entire manufacturing process
  • Review of FMEA (Quality) and risk analysis (EHS) as part of multi-functional team and collaborate (develop, implement and monitor) on the action plans to reduce risk
  • Use of core tools effective use and maintenance of core tools (Control Plan, PFMEA, MSA, PPAP, SOPs)
  • Training, coordination & control all team members to ensure QEHS standards adherence via different layer of audit
  • Daily reporting to management and maintain QEHS KPI and Action Log on daily basis

 

To join our team you will need:

 

Education:

  • Engineering degree on industrial engineering or equivalent
  • 3 years of experience in industrial environment.

 

Languages:

  • Fluent in English & French

 

Skills & Qualifications:

 

  • Ability to perform root cause analysis and propose corrective actions in response to quality issues
  • Good data analysis skills and familiarity with quality metrics and charts. Good skills in Excel will be considered as an asset
  • Ability to follow documented procedures and to initiate procedures creation
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills - combined with the capability to lead and coach co-workers.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Sense of urgency to resolve issues, self-initiative
  • Ability to manage work priorities
  • Flexibility in the tasks to be accomplished daily
  • Willing to learn and develop multi skills capabilities in several areas
  • Experience in quality in automotive industry
  • Statistical analysis (6 Sigma) Green Belt is considered as an asset
  • Experience with IATF 16949 and ISO 45001 is considered as an asset
