Primary Purpose of the Position:
The Senior Event & Visitor Specialist is accountable for the development and execution of comprehensive event and visitor programs across the Goodyear Innovation Center Luxembourg (GICL), Associate Research Labs, Testing Facilities, and Proving Grounds throughout Europe. This position serves as a strategic advisor to the GIC*L leadership, ensuring all events and visits directly support EMEA business objectives (both in Consumer and Commercial), technology dissemination, and public affairs initiatives, including visits of government officials. The role also acts as a key liaison for Asia-Pacific (AP) and Americas leadership teams for cross-regional coordination.
This role requires close interactions and strategic alignment with EMEA Consumer and Commercial leadership teams, as well as trusted advisor relationships with global GPDD and local GICL functional leaders. The position demands the ability to translate business objectives into impactful event and visitor experiences, demonstrating a high degree of autonomy, strategic foresight, and exceptional stakeholder management. This includes the development of long term strategic event planning and complex stakeholder management across multiple regions.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategic Event & Visitor Program Leadership:
- Assume responsibility for the strategic leadership and management of all events and visits within GICL, aligning with EMEA regional and country senior leaders.
- Coordinate with Luxembourg Complex leadership and host high-profile VIP, media, and customer visits to the campus, including comprehensive planning and facilitation among stakeholders in GICL and external parties.
- Develop and implement strategic event plans, including business rationale, messaging, and post-event evaluation for continuous improvement.
- Secure all practical aspects of events and visits, collaborating with other functions (e.g., regional marketing and business teams) as needed.
Internal Events for Associate Engagement:
- Take ownership of defining and organizing strategic internal events for associates within GICL and the Lux Complex, fostering a strong sense of community and engagement.
- Plan and execute events such as summer BBQs, "visit workplace" initiatives, and local celebrations/gatherings
Internal Communications Leadership:
- Lead and manage GICL internal communications, including the strategic direction and execution of monthly communication meetings.
- Provide strategic and tactical support to the core team, including content preparation and other required materials.
- Organize the proper setup of conference rooms and address additional requests based on the content and focus of each meeting.
- Assume responsibility for the strategic storytelling and management of the GICL reception/lobby, ensuring it aligns with the organization's messaging and brand.
- Act as a strategic advisor for internal communication improvements.
To join our team, you will need:
Education:
- Bachelors in communication or a related field.
- Additional Professional certification in Event Organisation.
Experience:
- At least 3-5 years of experience in the field of event organization/ management at a large company and/or external supplier of such services.
- Holistic mindset together with hands-on attitude and experience, working in complex organizations to be able to build and maintain relationships with diverse groups and individuals.
- Proven experience in developing and executing complex, high-profile events.
- Demonstrated experience in managing relationships with executive-level stakeholders, including VIPs, media, and senior leadership.
Knowledge, Skills & Capabilities:
- Demonstrated fluency in English. French and German would be considered an asset.
- Full clean driving licence.
- Ability to communicate in a constructive way with different levels of stakeholders - internal and external.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding and collaborative environment both independently and as a member of a team.
- Ability to translate business objectives into impactful event and visitor experiences, demonstrating a high degree of autonomy and strategic foresight.
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to multitask, organize and follow through on commitments with high attention to details.
- Ability to get things done in time.
