Manager Continuous Improvement

Location: El Salto, Guadalajara.

Department: Operations / Logistics
 

Reports To: Supply Chain Director
Job Objective: Efficiently coordinate warehouse operations, raw material  planning, and  import and export operations, as well as manage finished product inventory and lead continuous improvement projects to optimize workflow and operational efficiency.

 

Responsibilities:
1 Warehouse Coordination:
◦ Oversee warehouse management, including the receipt, storage, and distribution of inished products.
◦ Ensure accurate inventory management of finished products, performing periodic audits to verify stock accuracy.
◦ Implement and monitor quality control and safety processes within the warehouse.
◦ Coordinate with the team to ensure internal logistics efficiency and proper product handling.
2 Finished Product Management:
◦ Supervise the storage and management of finished products in the warehouse, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
◦ Coordinate the distribution of finished products to customers or sales points, optimizing delivery times and minimizing costs.
◦ Manage the inventory process for finished products, ensuring accuracy in stock levels and proper product rotation.
3 Raw Material  Planning:
◦ Place orders for raw materials accordingly, to support production needs and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and timely deliveries.

◦ Work with production planning to handle 18-month raw material consumption accordingly with S&OP process.

◦ Project inventory levels and financials inventory closing to drive working capital analyses.

◦ Work with New Products development team to ensure new Raw Materials will be available accordingly;


4 Import and Export Operations:
◦ Manage  import process, including coordination with customs agents, transporters, and international suppliers.
◦ Ensure compliance with import  and export regulations and maintain proper documentation.
◦ Coordinate international transportation logistics and resolve any issues that arise during the import process.
◦ Optimize import costs and timelines, ensuring continuous availability of materials needed for production.


5 Continuous Improvement Projects:
◦ Identify areas for improvement in warehouse, purchasing, and importing processes, and develop and implement continuous improvement projects.
◦ Conduct performance analysis and metrics to assess the effectiveness of implemented improvements.
◦ Facilitate team training on new practices and procedures to ensure effective adoption of improvements.
◦ Promote a culture of continuous improvement and operational efficiency within the team and the organization.


Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in similar roles within the manufacturing or distribution industry.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management, purchasing, international logistics, and finished product handling.
• Experience in managing continuous improvement projects.
• Effective negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and proactively resolve issues.
• Proficiency in inventory management and ERP software.
