Application Systems Administrator

This position is part of the Digital Factory, as a skilled DevSecOps Engineer with a strong background in system administration. The ideal candidate will focus on supporting our on-premises legacy applications while bringing a forward-thinking approach to modernization and looking for every opportunity to adopt modern cloud solutions. It will be instrumental in automating processes, closing existing operational gaps, and paving the way for future technological advancements.. 
 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain on-premises legacy applications.
• Administer and optimize Linux servers (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu, etc.).
• Administer Oracle WebLogic Server.
• Manage Windows Server environments and related applications.
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and processes.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies to recommend future improvements.

Education and Certifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, computer science, engineering, technology, business administration or related discipline.      

Experience

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in IT
• Proven experience with Linux system administration.
• Proficiency in Windows Server administration and application management.
• Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, PowerShell) for automation.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Good understanding of a specific application system.
• Good understanding of one or more operating systems.
• Basic knowledge of networking standards.
• Good organizational, communication and managerial skills.
• Good troubleshooting skills.
• Basic understanding of business processes.
