Primary Purpose of the Position

You will be responsible for supporting manufacturing process and product quality by applying appropriate Goodyear standards and procedures to solve problems related to New product industrialization. You understands and can apply standard tools to improve customer satisfaction and process capability. 

  •  Support the tire industrialization effort taking part of a cross function team (plant, tire design, EPL…)
  •  Ensure quality standards and procedure are followed and met during industrialization phase and at product release
  • Link with outside stakeholders (IE, NPI other region, compounding team…) to support technical problem solving linked to tire industrialization
  • Recognize and identify problems, and achieve solutions with appropriate tools and methods that deliver defined objectives which meet business needs.
  • Coordinate and plan development workload in plants via OMC and One system.
  • Coordinate advanced planning activities within the R&D team and Plants (DFMEA, R. vs. C. analysis, industrialization planning, capability studies, MRM, PFMEA).Apply appropriate techniques to anticipate and mitigate risks.
  • Coordinate Plant Tire Release Process and assist on-site in APAC region
  • Support efforts to reach KPI as defined in AOP (On time delivery, quality and buildwire effectiveness)

Project Management 

  • Use and promote application of project management tools and standards in the execution of projects.
  • Effectively execute steps to initiate project, while driving and coaching others in the process. Deliver project objectives through effective project planning. Project may be cross functional, divisional, or global.
  • Develop solutions to project risks. Coach others on project risk management process.
  • Successfully execute and implement projects. Drive and coach others. Manage process closeout process, while coaching others.
  • Drive existing and new methods and coach others on project conflict resolution. Proactively manage conflict.

 

Job Requirements: 

  • Graduate of Bachelors degree in Science/Technology/Engineering/Math.
  • 4 or  more years experience required in Plant quality team (NPI, QA, FF..) and /or Tire design (OE, RE, consumer or commercial product)
  • Demonstrated ability to apply systematic problem solving tools and techniques
  • Demonstrated ability to apply new tools and techniques to improve existing processes
  • Understanding of basic Project management tools
  • Good communicator at all levels of the organization, self managed, dynamic. Demonstrate ability to plan and lead meetings at work group level. Initiate open dialogue. Offer alternative solutions. Provide compelling technical direction.
  • Achieve high quality results. Hold self accountable for team performance. Address risk in assembling effective strategies. Drive positive change.
  • Willing to travel in APAC (mostly)
